Growing up with Animals.....
We have always loved being around animals, in the past 25 years we have been lucky enough to have shared our life with 2 dogs and 4 cats.
Sasha and our cats Dax, Nero and Minnie.....
One sunny Sunday afternoon in April 1997 we were taking some blankets to a local dog rescue home, an hour later we had Sasha, not really sure how this happened but so happy it did. She was an 18 month old cross that had been badly mistreated.
It took a lot of time, patience and hard work for her to trust anyone but it was so rewarding to see her transform from a scared shaking dog into a confident playful mischievous and social furry friend.
All our cats were rescued , one was just a ginger and white kitten left in a bag down a country lane found by my mother in law. After checking and asking around and also liaising with local vets no one came forward, we then knew instantly where his new forever home would be.
Sadly all have now crossed the rainbow bridge.

Kia
In June 2009 we gave a home to Kia, she is a Norwegian Elkhound, and is one of the Northern Spitz types of dog. The breed is the National Dog of Norway.
We instantly fell in love with her, Elkhounds are described as Hardy, Alert, Bold, Loyal , Playful and Strong Willed and I can assure you that the Strong Willed description is an understatement.
She has also crossed the rainbow bridge, she gifted us 15 years of amazing memories.
